When a bus is at highway speed there is a ton of air pressure on the bus. Any opening will allow air in or out. Also with air movement comes the wind whistle. As you see I hav foamed everything, addad spray foam, and aluminum taped the entire area. The only thing I want hear whistle going down the road is me!!

Eric,

Looks good. I need to tear apart my drivers area and do the same (insullation, not a raise)

I am always amazed and motivated by the work you do.

Its been a long summer!!! We got very busy in the shop so my bus project time has been somewhat limited. We have to keep one going in order to do the buses!!LOL Thought I would update John's project. We are almost finished with the front area. The only thing left is the cover on the top of the dash. It is stitched and will post. John decided to add air throttle (WWAI!). That is done also.

Step area. Ready to cover. John has not decided on material.

Opening in front for hvac return.

Radio area. Opening below is for cd storage.

Side console. Shifter, generator controls, lights, and beer, or other holder!!

Floor in drivers area is covered with padded pebble rubber. It is used in large trucks.

Eric, You're a craftsman ! Great looking dash. Will it have a steering wheel and column or a EB Logic controlled guidance system. LOL

The door on John's bus came off another bus. The lock had been welded in place. It was worn out and the door was very hard to open.

I cut it out and replaced it with a Trimark latch and handles. Works as it should now.
