Goodson Bus Sales Inc., International Bus Parts in Apopka, FL, and Phoenix Coach, maybe. With Jefferson gone, new siding is scarcer. One thing to consider is the fact that new siding will not match the appearance of your older siding, and will stand out like a sore thumb. I would search for salvage Eagles that have decent corner panels as a unit. I'm not sure whether the Model 01 corners are the exact same as 05 or 10, so measure them carefully.

To quote PF Products Finishing about the incidence of Crazing or Cracking of Anodic Coatings: "There seems to be a critical point in the temperature cycle where the crazing occurs, but it doesn’t always happen at that point. That temperature seems to be around 105°C. Anodic films have been tested for crazing up to 150°C. No crazing occurred on the rise, but there was crazing as the temperature was lowered. Again, at around 105°C. The susceptibility to crazing is also determined by the anodic coating thickness and how well it was sealed."

So, some heat could be used to make bending easier, but not too much. "The thermal expansion coefficient is very different for aluminum and aluminum oxide."

Another thing to consider is whether the old doors could be polished (assuming they are not perforated) lightly, with a fine polish, not rubbing compound. I have seen it done on old GMC Coaches, and it works IF you do not remove the anodized layer.

Thanks Walter.

The old corner doors have large holes in them from corrosion, it’s gonna take a lot of buffing to fill in the holes... :?

I have the original siding purchased from Jefferson. All pieces are 12’ length. I have enough pieces to cover one side and the rear or the front of an model 10. Will sell cheap. If you are still interested! berndgehrkeneumann@gmail.com
