Eagles Nests - Shops
What kind of shops do you have to keep your Eagles in?
I’m wondering how tall for doors and insides? I have my measurements of mine, but I’m curious if there are best practices or other standards for the heights especially.
Please post photos if you have them. I’m looking for ideas, so if you have any recommendations, I’m all ears. TIA

Re: Eagles Nests - Shops
Good subject. I hope we get some replies
I built my shop in 1999. It is 36X56 with 14 foot walls and 12 foot main door. I have a very old project page here: http://beltguy.com/garage1.htm
The 12 foot door is the tallest I could install. My Eagle does not have a raised roof, but if it did, I would be marginal.
Sadly (?) the Eagle sits outside now while I am enjoying working on my car projects in the shop.

Re: Eagles Nests - Shops
This could be a fun subject!
Our "Bus Barn" as it is called, is a 50x60 with 16 foot sidewalls. Our door is 20 feet wide and 14 feet tall, which allows us to get a variety of things inside...
We put 4 windows toward the south (highway side) to break it up a bit, also a window beside the big door, which faces east. On the west is a walk door, and there is nothing on the north

Yes, the crane is to lift the bus in vertically!!beltguy wrote:Mason, your shop is round and vertical?
Actually, we end up working on a lot of construction equipment so the shop is super handy.
The crane in the picture has closed to 18000 hours on it's series 60, that's part of the reason I am putting one in the eagle
I edited the other post with more pics.

Re: Eagles Nests - Shops
I'm waiting to close on 1.86 acres of land. Just not sure if I'm going to build on it or keep and look for something with a shop already built. I've been watching some property on 4 acres that has a 40'x80 shop and a old house on it. I should just make a cash offer and see what happens. It would need a bunch of old junk removed.
