Front Bumper End Reflectors

When we got this bus it came with RED reflectors on the front end bumpers. I realized that was incorrect (by DOT rules, those are suppose to be amber). I've been wanting to change them out and when I went to the Turkey Rod Run Car Show / Swap Meet in Daytona this past Thanksgiving Weekend one of the vendors had them, and they were only $1 each - brand new, in the pkg. It was a minor detail but needed to be done.

Manny, I've been looking for those myself. Good score!

I want to replace the ones on the sides, two amber and two red. We don't have the fancy corners like you guys. ;)

Jim, wow talking about hwy robbery or should I say body shop. I think the guy at the swap meet did not know what he had. He probably bought them at an auction or old stock, now looking back I should have bought all of them. I was saving all the money I could so I could buy that Christmas tree LOL. :D

If you're looking for the reflectors that go under the rectangle bases, here's a link: http://www.pmlights.com/assets/products/sm284024697.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When I was working on trucks, I've replaced a couple (thousand) of them and they're available at almost all the truck parts places. . .just ask them for the PM 460 reflectors, and they'll probably have them. At one time, they used to replace them free if they were broken when you ran the truck and trailer in for monthly maintenance. . .but that was a week or two ago. . .

Suspension Adjustment

We've been doing some routine maintenance work on the Eagle (brakes, wheel seals) since the first of this year (2010). Went ahead and put new shocks in all around, but the most noticeable change was lifting the bus by adjusting the suspension. I had no idea how low it actually was (more than three inches). If I was living out west in CA, I would have fit in by just saying my Eagle was a "Low-Rider" :) but I am really glad to have had this done.

Looking good Manny!

Did you make the adjustments? How close did you follow Dan's recommendations?

Hey Paul and Wayne,

Actually, John Mellis introduced me to a guy (who has now become a friend). He is a mechanic who has his own shop and who specializes in Eagles (and owns his own Charter Eagle). He's done work on John's bus and comes highly recommended by several others, as well. Work had been really slow for him and he offered me a price I just couldn't refuse. So, he had all the equipment and tools and certainly knew what he was doing. I just can't believe the difference it has made!
