Clifford,
Yes that's the dead bolt spot. That door is off of another bus & I'm starting to wish I had just built one. Gotta work on the door handle it's real tough to open. When I saw that the door was installed with that dead bolt there I wasn't happy that I would have to cut the molding. That's why you haven't seen me go for the finish yet. Will look at some others at Palmetto Cove this weekend for some ideas.

Art,
I am presently happy with the Filon. Only time will tell. I'm pretty sure i have enough supports to keep from getting a wavy look in the siding. Tight as a drum. Go Sikaflex! Had some rain, no leaks on the siding. I'm really surprised at the interior surface temperature difference between the Filon & Aluminum skins. You can hold your hand on the Filon with no problem, not so with the Aluminum.

Re: John & Tara's 1982 Eagle Model 10
Switched to Alcoa wheels & added a little bling bling. Word to the wise don't take someone's word that the used wheels they have don't have cracks. After polishing & ready to install the new tires found out that 2 wheels had cracks in a couple of places between several stud holes. So the cost of the wheels & the time spent grinding & polishing all went to the learning curve.
Installed the camera pod & it works, lights work too! Now the glass work. Boy that Sikaflex sure will lock something down..
Still pulling wires inside trying to make sure not to leave out anything. Then it will be time to install the walls & cabinets. More to come...

Re: John & Tara's 1982 Eagle Model 10
Got a bit of an update as to what's been happening since Feb. 1. Didn't take pictures of everything because it's in various phases.
Window change
Sliders- Ain't they purty Now to save up the cashola for the other ones.
Starting final phase on walls
1 1/2 inch insul board, 1/4" luan, finished out with formica
Not complete but I just had to share...
Valve manifolds & pex throughout. Those who were at the Santee rally last year are grinning cuz they know what happened to Tara's clothes
Well I think we're ready for the Myrtle Beach rally. Then we'll continue on this journey...

Lookin' great! I see you used the same insulation we did on the inside, we added 3/4" over that. You have done a fantastic job on the interior!
Where did you get your slider windows? That's on our next to do list, which was added to the last one!

Got the sliders from Tom Hamrick. Now we need to change the glass on the other 4 windows to match the reflective type in the sliders.
