Finishing the Front End Project
Truing the Tires
After doing the major work on the front end I took the Eagle in to be alligned and they told me that both front tires were out of round. So I took it in this past weekend to have that taken care of...
Here are some pics and two video clips of the process
Here is a link to a video showing the truing of the tire:

Ever since we got our Eagle we've been wanting to switch out the stovetop.
It came with a four-burner electric coil cooktop and it worked great but would rattle sometimes when we were traveling down the road, plus it took up a lot of space on our counter top.
So we've been keeping our eyes open for the past 6 years to get a glass cooktop (no coils) but they started at $599 up to $1,200 and we just couldn't justify that expense since the older stovetop worked just fine.
Well, Black Friday we happened to be down in Miami visiting my family. We went to only TWO stores...one of them being Brandsmart. We don't have one of those stores by us, anyway, we went to check out the cooktops (just for the heck of it) and low and behold they had an AWESOME sale going on. A brandnew glass cooktop that sold for $749, on sale for $349. We just couldn't pass it up! So as soon as we got home I started to swap out the old for the new. Of course the opening had to be modified (you didn't expect the swap to be quick and easy did you???) The original opening was rounded on the corners and I had to make them square, but it turned out GREAT! My wife and I can't believe after all these years we were able to make this upgrade happen.

Nice work and good choice on the cooktop. It looks great. I'd better not show the Mrs or I will have another project on my list...

Very Cool Manny. Love Your Stove Top.
So....How Did The Bus Ride After Truing The Tires ?? I Have Always Wondered About The Tire Shaving.
Has Darlene Been Doing Any Driving ?? I Thought Your Post Was Great. If My Wife Stephanie Can See Darlene Tooling That Big Eagle Around Then I Feel It Will Boost Her Into Doing The Same...GREAT IDEA You Never Know When An Emergency Can Happen
Thank You & Take Care Buddy.

Re: Manny & Darlene's Eagle 05
Thank you, Kitt.
Yes Eric, those burners turn RED it would be mighty hot chilli. We'd better keep a pitcher of water handy for him, lol.
Mr. Breeze, it is driving great. Honestly I couldn't tell there was a problem before but in time I may have. My Eagle is just driving so much better since I did the front end, especially on the turning radius that I didn't notice an issue with the tires.
No, Darlene has not been driving any more, but in time, I'll get her back to it. It would be good for her to do once in a while so she'll get more comfortable with it...just in case. Overall though, since I drove tractor trailers it's hard for me to let go of the wheel, knowing what can happen.I usually feel better being behind the wheel.

New Alcoa Wheels
This project's been coming for a long time. I have never liked those wheel simulators. Made me feel like I was driving a Class A S & S instead of a bus, but I needed to take care of the mechanical issues first. I rounded up six used Alcoa Wheels. They needed some polishing, but it was worth the effort. Now I feel like I'm runnin with the big boys,
It took the tire guy four hours to switch all the rims, and (in the famous words of Eric) "while we were at it" I fixed the hub caps which had been leaking hub oil. Now both of my front hub caps are new.
Front Simulators
Drive Simulators
Getting everything lined up before tire man arrives
Tire man doing his thing
and me getting ready to change one of the hub caps
New hub cap installed and new rim in front.
Still need to get the center caps.
Lookin Good
What a Beaut!
