Its photobucket they use to be free now they want paid. If you ask me it was a dirty trick to reel you in and then start charging.

I started looking at this last night. As moderator, I can go to Eric's project page and click on the edit button (only available to moderators -- available to the poster for only a short period of time thus locking the thread from being destroyed). In the edit mode, I could see the actual link to Photoshop. It almost appears that Eric's Photobucket account has been closed. Once that is done, the whole thread is basically worthless.

A bit of history on this whole terrible subject (lost posted pictures). Several years ago Eric hosted his pictures on another photo hosting site. It went belly up and all the pictures were lost in the threads. Eric took quite a bit of time rebuilding a few of his threads. Apparently he used Photobucket as his new host. Now that is dead.

Photobucket has been a blood sucking vendor the past few years. At first, if you did not pay a rather expensive fee, they would break the link in any internet forum, so that the pictures could not be seen. That destroyed thousands of threads on hundreds of forums. Apparently there was a huge backlash and today the links have been re-established but the photos have a very objectionable watermark. At least you can get an idea of what the photo looked like.

I am not aware of any move on Photobucket's part to again completely break the links. Thus my guess about Eric closing his Photobuck account. I will send him an email to see if he know what is going on.

When we rebuilt the Eagle forum in 2014 we lost a few links in a few threads, but I think we were able to get that corrected. At the time, we knew we were very vulnerable to damaged threads due to third party photo hosting sites and their policies. That is the reason we chose to host all photos here. As long as the site is still alive the photos will all be safe.

If you go back to Eric's project thread (and refresh screen) you will note that he took a TON to time to rebuild his project pages.

This was the second time that I had to rebuild because of photobucket. I canceled the paid support, and kept the free storage. Then they removed all of those. I DO NOT RECCOMEND PHOTOBUCKET!! LOLL If you need any other pics let me know.

I quit using Photobucket a long time ago when they started pulling this pay crap. Fortunately I've saved all of my photos in various places, cloud, portable hard drive, FB etc.

I guess I should go back on my build thread and see what they've messed up.

I won't ever use them again for anything!
