Eagle Sighting in Tampa

Post by buscrazyinFL »

I was doing a job in Tampa yesterday and stopped to get some fuel, and low and behold as I was pulling into the pump there was an Eagle (also getting some fuel). I went to talk to the driver and asked him if he ever gets on any of the bus boards. He said yes, and that his bus is listed on the Silver Eagle Manufacturing site. I told him I thought I recognized his bus, and it happened to be "The Harvesters Quartet" bus, so I caught this picture, and if you'd like to see more pics, check it out on page 3 of the Silver Eagle Mfg. site under "owners." I told him about this board so you may eventually see their bus on here.

Did you check out the bus on the Silver Eagle website?
I checked that website and the story matches what the guy told me.

That's something! Are you saying there are 3 identical buses? Wow. I would not have imagined that. I know when I got home yesterday I checked their website and schedule. and it even mentioned that they would be in this area (Lakeland) this week. Jim was the one I met. He was driving.

I wonder if they are aware of it? Funny. Well, thanks for the clarification and the info, that really is something.

I think there was several buses painted the same way ...Calhouns ...I know one was used on the Backsteet Boys tour ...I do not know if this one is it ...The Calhoun coaches all have the same paint scheme with the big C on the side
I do the difficult everyday ...the impossible just takes a little longer.

I was suprised to see Manny at the FJ in Tampa. We did not have time to talk, I was in the fuel lane and about 10 trucks were waiting behind me.
The bus was very dirty when Manny took the pic, we ran in snow and salt getting to Fla.
Thanks to Manny and Darline, I was made aware of this site. We had been on tour in Fla. for two weeks and when I got home I had an email from them.
I usually take two days of downtime for rest after a long tour, not this time , I have read everything on this site and it has been fun.
I am looking forward to sharing with all of you and getting to know you better.
We are on the road again and I will get back on Mon.
