This part (mystery to me) was fed off the bottom of the wet tank. Unfortunately I can't tell where the other line went...

Says Graham white manufacturing

Looks like an Automatic Drain Valve according to my June 1971 Manual. The fat end should unscrew. One hose from the tank, the other is a discharge, I assume.
