Eagles international Forum – folks who registered since December 12 2013 will need to register again

Message from Byron Pigg, President of Eagles International Chapter of FMCA:

I would like to welcome you to the redesigned Website and Forum hosted by Eagles International Chapter of FMCA. After my election in January, I decided that I would like to go a different direction with this site. I presented my plan at the business meeting in Breaux Bridge, LA (May of this year). The board members present agreed with the direction. There was not a quorum of the board at the meeting, so I contacted additional board members via phone until a quorum approval was obtained. I had proposed two goals: assure that the ownership of the Eagles domain was clearly in control of the club and have the website designed and maintained by a professional website developer. What you see is the beginning of what we believe will be a state-of-the-art site in the next few months. Below is a report from the development team.

Message from the Development team:
This site consists of two elements: the website and the forum. Both of the elements are now on a Godaddy server. It is our plan to start off with roughly the same content and then build from there.
The new website has been developed on a WordPress platform. That platform provides capability to easily add content and make quick update changes.
The forum continues to use the Open Source phpBB forum software. It was our intention to use a copy of the existing database for the new server. Unfortunately, that database was not made available. The present forum database was developed based on a December 2013 backup together with data gathered from the original forum. That resulted in a database that is current in terms of posts and threads, but some related data is not current.

The main issue is that folks who registered since December 12 2013 will need to register again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We are working to get Tapatalk working on the new server. We hope that can be accomplished in the next couple of days.
