That bus is just a few miles from our house. I drive by it when I go to Conifer a couple of times a week.

They must have just moved it in in the past few weeks.

I doubt that an 8V71 is set at 475HP

Will be glad to take a look at it if anyone wants.

John 370 hp was the largest 8v71 Detroit had on the market for automotive use and that was a 8v71tta,marine use and miltary that is another story they turn out some hp.
Don has one in is Eagle 10 churning around 600 hp

Higher horsepower is doable.. Just not very streetworthy. You'd have to have a whole lot of cooling to make those very high HP 8V71s work for the street. More than you would ever get out of an Eagle.

I agree that this bus is probably in the 370-375 range instead of 475.

Oh yeah... we knew. But several of us did question the 475hp number.
