drivers wiper arm
Hi fellas ,Here it is ,My drivers side windshield wiper arm does not park in the center like the right side does. Now I've seen alot of eagles thus far and all of them are both centered in park position, could the air lines be on the valve wrong ? or is it some thing else? Big mystery to me,any one ?

Re: drivers wiper arm
Mine will do that if I turn it off in the wrong spot. The air system leaves a lot to be desired. One day I would like to switch to electric with all the bells and whistles.
Maybe somebody has another idea, because ours is 40 years old and I'm sure it's differant.

Re: drivers wiper arm
Van, that happens when someone has moved the arm on the splines to stop the wiper slap Eagles are bad for wiper slap electric or air and that is the way to slove it.Paul always turn it to the park on your controls Good Luck

Re: drivers wiper arm
See Van, I told you someone with experience would chime in!
I've only used ours once I think, that was on the way from Ohio to California when I bought the coach 5 years ago.
Clifford, I did not know there was a park spot on the controls. I always just turn them off during the stroke back to center of windshield.
If someone has changed from air to electric, a new thread would be nice to show how it's properly done. Or is it one of those "just dive in and do it"?

Re: drivers wiper arm
On my first bus, an RTS, it had a park feature on the wipers. It used to drive me crazy trying to get them stopped where I wanted them until I figured out how to park them. Not sure if the Eagle works the same or not. My bus was already converted to electric before I bought it.

Re: drivers wiper arm
Fellows, the problem with air wiper is most manufactures (Prevost Does) don't regulate the air pressure if you install a regulator that is set at the same pressure as the cut in pressure on the supply line a 8.00 fix they will work at a constant smooth speed just like the electric.Dan does have a great price on the electric it is about 1/3 of the price I paid AIM for mine.PS they are still in the box along with my tire montoirs but I am working on it good luck

Re: drivers wiper arm
Are the wipers(both)supose to park normally in the center ?my right one does whether I turn valve to off or off and activate the park on the valve ,the left does the complete opposite.I don't think the arm was moved on the splines that much otherwise the arm would park some where other than on the wind shield ,I'll have to check this out in person next time I go down to the bus cause I don't seem to have that section in the book (missing)

Re: drivers wiper arm
HI Guys,
I converted to the electric wipers on my 05 myself and it was very easy, given good installation instructions with the equipment from Autex. I bought the conversion kit of International Bus Parts. One thing I did was to buy extended pantograghs (wiper arms) thus allowing me to use longer wiper blades and clear a larger windshield area. If anyone is interested, I will measure them as I don't remember exact measurements right now. It works well, and one big benefits is the noise of the air driven (mine were real bad) is gone.
