Announcement Block
As of 12/1/2021, a major update of the forum software was accomplished

Update: 4/20/2024: The Eagles email account at GoDaddy no longer works. I have set up a gmail account as a workaround: eaglesinternational.email@gmail.com (This link seems to work for my outlook email, but may not work for other email platforms. If it does not load, copy and paste the link in your platform.)

Update: 4/27/2024: I am getting some SQL error pages as I click on different areas of our forum. Using the back arrow and hitting the link again usually loads the page. I will wait for a day or two before I have GoDaddy look into the problem.

3:73 Ring And Pinion For Rockwell R162 QX 10

Post by sojourner58 »

I'm in the process of replacing the HT740 Allison transmission that was going bad in my Model 10.  I lost reverse gear altogether and it was slipping in the forward gears as well.  I'm installing an Allison HD4000MH 6 speed double overdrive transmission so I would like to re-ratio the differential gears from 3:36 to 3:73 so I can use all 6 gears of the transmission.  If anyone knows where I can find the correct ring and pinion that would work with the factory drop box please post a reply or send me a PM.  I'm located in Ohio.

I have that ratio in my parts Model 05, which should work, The brakes are smaller and the width is for a 8' coach, but the rest of it should be the same.

I have not received any message, where did you send it to? It's okay to discuss what you need here, very few people look at postings here.
