2005 build on 1969 Model 7 with slideout -- new owner update

I love this bus, but I'm not using it anymore and I want it to go to someone who will take good care of it.  I'm selling it extra cheap because there's a surprise storage closing and it has a couple of minor issues.  I might have them worked out by the time someone comes to get it.  The 8V71/Allison auto runs like a top, good tires on alcoas.  It had one veteran owner for 30 years who built it for the end of the World.  I found a receipt for $250,000 just for the body off metal work.
There's really too much to list.
In very short, it has a huge slide, landing gear, a 12KW diesel Kubota gen with 79hrs, double pane windows, auto trans, late model tilt wheel and power mirrors, raised roof, luggage doors open cabinet style like on modern busses etc.  Conversion done by custom coach business. Interior is all custom teak. I'll work up some more pics if someone doesn't come get it first.

Your description suggests that this is a great bus.

However the picture you posted does not show up.  I suggest you try posting the picture again.  If that does not work, email me the photo and I will get it posted.

I couldn't figure out how to edit, so I'm adding pics here.  I'll take some more and post them asap.  Well that didn't work either. I'll email them to you. Thanks for your help!

OK that worked.  Not sure why you were having problems, but these went through just fine.

My apologies to all.  This bus is no longer available through this website. I am new to this website and cannot figure out how to navigate it.  It appears I cannot edit or delete this listing or my account.  If there is someone that can delete one or both, I would appreciate it to avoid anymore confusion.  If the bus is available, it's on Palm Springs Craigslist and other places with more details.

Sorry that you are having a tough time navigating our forum.

The Craigslist listing is click here

I will leave this thread on the forum since we probably offer a different audience than your Craigslist listing.

Please let us know when your bus sells, so that we can mark this thread accordingly.

The Craigslist for this bus is no longer valid.

I will assume the bus is sold or retracted from any listing.

Hello Jim and All,
I acquired this bus sight-unseen this summer with the help of my friend Virgil Cooley from Pedco fame!!! Yes he is still around and,,, "still the MAN"! I flew in to Palm Springs and was pleasantly surprised to find such a great unit as Virgil had described it for me.  A young man had acquired this gem from Victor Schisler of Huntington Beach, CA not long ago.  I think he realized that keeping this unit required more than he expected.

I am wondering if anyone here has any knowledge of this bus during the many years Victor owned it and built it. If so please reach out.  Here are some recent photos since a detail and general maintenance was performed two weeks ago.

I completed a trip with it from Hemet, CA (up and down the 6%+ grades) and back to Palm Springs. Before I ran out of time to do more.  It ran great!. As I enjoy buying and selling these unique items, I would make it available to someone who would be interested or, I plan to fly back from my home in Alaska later this fall and winter and continue with the maintenance and upgrades to bring here back to her full glory!  Cheers Everyone! Looking forward to hearing any info on the history of this bus!!!
