Donn, welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately our Eagles are pretty wimpy as far as traction goes. I have had my bus stuck on wet grass twice and had to be pulled out both times.

The first time was at a relatives house and the bus was on an almost level pad, but the grass was wet and the bus would not move. They got their big tractor out and pulled me out with minimal effort.

The second time was in my front yard - again on wet grass and a bit mushy soil. I tried to pull it out with my tractor, but it is a relatively small unit. I ended up calling AAA (our towing insurance) and they winched me out but it took a pretty good effort.

Our Eagles are a bit handicapped in that we can't dump the load on the bogey like the units with air springs.

I carry chains but have never used them. Some folks opt for traction type tires, but I am told they don't help much and can quickly dig a hole in the soil.
