Hi folks,

I have a 1972 Silver Eagle VIN 8VA8711, Body Type - MH, Make - SIEA and was hoping someone could give me a little history behind my couch. I bought it about 3 months ago and it was already converted into a tour bus configuration. I plan to revamp and update it and having some history behind it would be pretty cool.

Sorry, but that looks like your engine number and not your VIN.

First and easiest place to fined the VIN is on the paperwork such as registration, title or insurance documents. It's only a four digit number.

If that fails, open the tailgate. Look for a crossmember just behind the upper edge of the rear bumper. It should be on a small plate that's welded to the crossmember near the lower right corner of the opening and it will be staring up at you. If you can't read it, minute with a wire brush should do the trick.
