I don't really know all the details yet. The bus is supposed to be here tomorrow. From what I have been told it is an already converted Model 15-45. I am told that it has two brand new plasma TVs and new batteries. I know that is not a lot to go on yet but the fact that it has two plasma TVs makes me think it must be a pretty nice bus. From what I am told, the asking price is in the $70k range. Hopefully I will know more and have pictures by the weekend.

I'm still waiting to see it myself, William. The guy who owns it got tied up and didn't get to bring it by. I did learn that this is a professional conversion and the present owner updated most of the interior when he got it.

Okay, the bus is finally here. Not a bad look Eagle. Needs a little TLC to bring it back to it's former glory it appears. I'm resizing the pictures now and will add a few in just a little bit.

I was told that it was an original 45' Model 15. I don't think it has been stretched or widened. But I will ask to double check. Not sure of year either. I haven't spoken to the owner yet. Only the owner of the shop where it is sitting.

After looking at the pictures, you might be right. That front wheel seems to be sitting awfully far in, doesn't it?

I am far from expert, but the 15s (factory) to my knowledge did not change the axle width in the transition from 96 inch 10s to the 102 15s. The windshield and door are definitely 15. The pictures show 4 bay doors on each side. The 40 ft. 10s and 15s only have 3 bays I am sure.
Bottom line, it looks like a 45 ft. 15 to me. But could be wrong.

Basil's bus is a 15-45. Look at the wheels. They are moved out and sit about the same as the wheels on a 10.

Now look at Hal's bus. It is a 96" widened to 102". You can see that they sit farther in, more like this bus. Hal's bus has also been lengthened to 45' and has 4 bay doors. Originally it only had 3.

I just went over and looked at the bus again. There are more things that make it look like a 10 to me. From what I have seen, the 15 has the engine moved back to the rear bumper like my 20. This bus has the engine sitting farther forward like a 10. Also, it has the little metal electrical box above the engine that I don't think he 15s had. Plus, it has an MUI engine and mechanical shifter. The title shows this bus to be a 1991. Should be electronic I think.

The VIN number off of the title is 1HEMC45D2MK619991. It may have been changed when the bus was converted but maybe someone can decipher it. If I am reading the production records correctly and the last 5 digits are still the same, this bus is a 1978 Model 05 and was originally a Trailways bus, number 11606. Anyone else have anything?
