Manny, in the picture of the dipstick I sent, you will notice a o-ring on the stick, this keeps oil from blowing back up the dipstick tube. There is a tiny hole in the plastic part which allows the box to breath. Fill and drain through the pipe plugs.

I found my Morse Gearbox lubrication bulletin. It says:

Model of gearbox Oil capacity

4M 1/4 pint
6M 1 quart
8M 2 quarts
12M 1 1/2 gallons

Manny, I will PM a copy of this to you.
Hope this helps

I went ahead and installed the fill tube in the miter box and that went well. Then I drilled a hole on the dip stick handle to let air out, like in Boomer's pic above. I did all this at the garage where I store my bus. Then tonight I brought my bus home so I can finish installing my cruise control tomorrow (that will be another project eagle post). Anyway, when I got home I opened the engine compartment and there was no oil spilled out anywhere.

Ok, here are the pictures you asked for Clifford. Can you tell me how much oil this type of miter box takes?
