Clifford, I got the diagrams yesterday in the mail, thanks.

I do see the trans mount, and does make sense with an aluminum bellhousing versus steel. That allision 6 speed is one heavy puppy.

At least with the rear I got from Eric the brake cans are in the front so they will not interfere with any support of the trans. Long way to go to that point, got a lot of shall we say old metal to take out (rust). Pretty easy to get at
everything with it gutted!
I know where I am spending the winter!!

man ole Man I just have a heck of a time comprehending how our Eagles support the power house for our coaches, just looking at Ed's frame makes me disbelieve it works like it does but I have to admit, they been building these frames for a lot of years.

Good Luck Ed, go slow and do it once, don't get hurt, remove the entire engine door, don't throw wooden blocks out from underneath when you get done, and have plenty of water available if you eat out and have chilli and hopefully you don't have any sick cows on your property to distract you.

I pulled the siding off the rear wheels and above them to see how extensive
the rust was. I need to replace the outer floor beam, but the side supports and roof supports going up are still in good shape. No rust on them all the way to their weld point on the floor.Cut the upper skin up 6 inches so I could make sure and so I can support those while I replace the floor beam.
Might look bad , But I was glad it went no farther.Going to replace this first before I cut and raise the floor. Got the majority of the bedroom torned out,couldn't really save anything. My before and after pictures of the bedroom are reverse of normal !
Oh, and it will be a reskin, because I am going to make cafe doors and remove the battery doors. Got lots of good info from (kentucky) Steve when he was here, plus have been bugging Eric to death with questions. Now it will even be more since all his pictures are gone.
Once New years is done and all gets back to normal here, I plan on full steam ahead!! Really seeing the rust issues weren't that bad,made my day cutting and welding I like.

A little tip on those fenderwells Ed. The drive and the bogie are different diameters. Don't know why, but I am sure ealge had a logical reason!! SURE THEY DID!! There are four the same dia, two on the front and I can't remember which axle. I am seeing way toooo much WWAI already. Be carefull with that or you will be down to the bare frame before you know it!!

Eric, kinda wish it was a bare frame. It would be so much easier to repair. I got to be so careful when I start welding, a fire I don't need especially with it setting near the shop !!! The back will be stripped inside to bare metal, and the floor gone so okay there. the floor beam is only bad where the wheels wells are rotted, all the upper supports are in good shape. The engine re-power I think will be the easy part at this point, but there ain't no sense in putting a bandaid on the rust issue. all the wheel wells and the outer floor beam from the bogie to the back.Extend the engine door, remove battery doors replace radiator door with cafe type, ac side with cafe type. once engine
is in and running then redo other bay doors.Probably throw the old mattress on the floor in the bedroom so I can use it !!! Its got everything else in it working. Heck you might see it with no engine door or skin back there on the road.!!! Duck tape a few trailer lights back there and I be good to go!!
And you know Claudette wouldn't say a thing, she would just get in with Rebel and off I go !!!
