88 Eagle 15 taIl lights

Post by jimsimsii »

I ahve seen on here people update tail lights to LED and other configurations. Are there sources for nice original replacements? Also, will 05 cargo doors fit on a 15? I have some damaged skin and need to replace them. I also want to make a 1 piece door and need skins. Cant seem toi find any anywhere. Any ideas?

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to buy the full replacement set, all around. I'm missing a few markers right now.

I emailed Silver Eagle over the weekend. Haven't heard back. Does anyone know what this set from SEB cost? http://www.silvereaglebus.com/Parts/LED%20Lights.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just heard from IBP saying they don't have them. But it looks like they're on their site, so that's odd. http://www.ibpindustries.com/products/category/63" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They said, "I'm sorry John we don't offer a full set of Eagle replacement lights? I'm not aware of anyone that does anymore."

So I may end up doing what Manny did: See "Post #12" http://www.eaglesinternational.net/foru ... 7&start=10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hopefully you'll have better results from your end.

I got the full set from Silver Eagle Bus only to find that within a year I had to get replacements for several of the lights. The boards are where the problem was for me. Individual LED's would burn out or full rows of LED's. The gaskets are very cheap. Lets water in. Not Craig's fault as the manufacturer is who made them that way. Can't say I'd recommend them because at this point I'm not sure I could get any more from SEB. Oh well. Good luck...

Thanks for that feedback. Sounds like Manny's retrofit is the way to go for LEDs.

What can I do about missing lenses? I lost two of my marker lights on the last trip. Not sure where to order regular replacement lights from.

Just bumping this thread...

I've lost two of my three amber clearance lights. What are good sources for them? I need bases and lens. Probably some other replacement lenses also.

Jefferson bus would probably be a good starting point Jefferson Bus 405-272-0213. Last time I spoke with them they had bases lenses etc.

Best of luck

Another source for new Eagle tail and marker lights: http://busfixx.tripod.com/busservice/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I purchased a new marker fixture (base and lens, I think it was about $38) and replacement lenses for the side markers (surprisingly, only $5 each) from there recently. Shipping was quick.

As an aside, I emailed Craig at SEB to see if he had any LED sets in stock. He only had a set of marker lights for $295 including shipping. A bit steep for me and I would be concerned with future replacements of them as I didn't get any indication that he was getting more in any time soon.

Eagle OEM Side Marker Lights are still made by K-D Lighting (KD 856), and sold by SLC Lighting. They are on sale right now for under $5.00. I just bought 8. You will pay considerably more elsewhere.......if you can find them.

http://www.slclighting.com/shop/truck/c ... gnal-Light

They have stopped making the rear tailight lenses and bases, which unfortunately makes for an advantage situation by the people who still have some. All it takes is effort and research people. Took me a week of looking. If you buy some, they'll keep making them. If you don't, they won't.
