Greetings fellow Eagle nuts! My conversion was substantially converted prior to the creation of this forum but I wanted to go ahead and get a project thread going and I will add photos as I can. I have just gone through a household move and many of my earlier photos are on a stored drive and CDs so I will have to add earlier photos at a later date.

Fantastic Greg. You know I have always loved your bus and when I got my own 20 yours was the first one I started looking at. I was showing Don yesterday how yours still has the factory rear cap on it and how it looks like a little spoiler. I wish the previous owner had left mine that way in the back. It looks cool.

I have studied all of your Photobucket pictures many times. Can't wait to see the new ones you dig up.

How did you get the beadboard attached to the ceiling? I am using it in my bus & could use some pointers. What you have done looks great.

I first fabricated 1" angle iron rafters at every roof bow.This allowed me to have a dropped and flat ceiling and angled at the wall juncture rather than rounded.

I then completed all of my ceiling cavity work such as A/C ducting and wiring.

Then I installed 1X2 stringers about 12" apart from front to rear.

Onto this I installed thin bender board type ply wood.

I then installed the 3" v-board that you can see. I used an air staple and nail gun with good glue to install the board. Hope this helps! - Greg

The flat ceiling with the angled corners is the way to go in my opinion. That is what I had planned as well. Gives you plenty of room for insulation, ducting, and wiring. Of course you just about have to have a roof raise to accommodate it.

Exactly my feelings as well Dale. I raised the roof 8 1/2" and it was perfect. This also allowed me to use standard 81" pocket doors and gives plenty of head room for tall folks.

Thanks for the info. I haven't raised the roof on mine & I'm not wanting to. The bender board trick is good. I know someone else that did that.

Hope all are doing well! I have uploaded a few new pictures to my photobucket account for your viewing pleasure. You will see my new front bumper installation and the lower air dam that I just installed. I have also just fabricated and installed a radiator scoop to help with those long mountain pulls that we have out in the west. I also just fabricated a radiator evap cooling system but I have not taken pictures of that just yet.
