While visiting Sonnie on Sunday I picked up a KVH TracVision LM from him. I installed it yesterday and will have to wait until I get back at the end of the month to test it out.

I don't know why I wanted an in motion system, the bus sits most of the time!

It's a little close to the front A/C unit, but it will have to do. I'll just have to remember not to drive/park due north! ;)

Doggone it! I need to find me one of them! I missed a deal on one last year in Atlanta.

Looking good, Paul.

While visiting Sonnie and his stable of Eagles, I was impressed with his shop, you should have seen it! He knows how to set one up! Had a cute little Honda all sized up to fit in a bay, couldn't talk the wife into that one. :D

Dale, If you wait as long as I did to find a deal on one, I might just have our Eagle finished!

Or even mine!

Nah! Surely it won't take me that long to find a deal. My bus could take decades.

This is a picture of the Flat Screen TV Mount I bought on eBay ($20). I have read the reviews and it sounded great. We'll see how it works out. I'll beef up the backing plate so I won't have to worry about any crashes.

I'm traveling again, so I won't be able to do any work on the bus until I return end of Feb. So I'll just have to dream of the finished product!

Paul and Becky,
The pic of your bus has kindled a bunch of memories for me, Dale Shelnut was a good friend of mine. I have been on that bus many times. Back then a converted coach was, " remove all the seats except 8 or 10, bolt a bunk frame to the floor, add a foam mattress and hang your clothes on the luggage rack, hang some curtains on the windows and you could go quartet'n in style.
Dale died in 1983 plowing a field with a mule and a one horse plow. His son Randy now owns the group and they are considered one of the top ten groups in Gospel music.
Your bus has quite a history.

Jim,

I have been in contact with Randy and he provided me with some photos and history. I did not know anything about it when I bought the coach. I was very excited to learn that they bought it brand new and traveled in it for a long time. If you have any history or pics you could share please let me know.
It's great to see someone else who knows the coach and the singers! What a story it could tell. By the way, I have always had a place in my heart for good southern gospel. It gets the ole ticker moving!

Thanks!

Today is the Big Day! I've been working my you know what off ever since I got home last Saturday. Too many things to list, but just to name a few. Installed our convection/microwave, 32" LCD HDTV and fired up the sat. dish. and so much more. We'll get settled in our new spot and finish up the move because I'm heading out again on Sunday. My blog/website has and will have a more detailed story. I brought back some great Irish Bushmills that I plan on tapping into on Sunday.

Just want to say "Thank You" to my wonderful wife for putting up with me!
