Paul,
Hurry up and finish the "projects" and head to the sunny southeast. Weather here is sunny and 82 degrees with little to no rain.

Mike,

Since we've been up here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest it has snowed here in Vancouver three times. The best part is that it doesn't stick around very long. :D

I can't wait to be a real snow bird!

Well, I went and dug myself another hole!

A couple of major's that will be fixed. I will have to modify the front engine mount bracket on the left side. The cooler elbow will not clear it.

The blower horn assembly is approx. 5" too long. Will have to work on a fix for that.

Because the motor came out of an 05, the center is offset to the left.

Just more fun before we can put some fire to it! ;)

Got the Air Horn and intake finished!

This shows how much offset it is. Glad the corrugated flex pipe came with the engine, it came in handy.

Lookin good Paul. That 01 should run 20 mph faster...LOL
On a serious note, I think you said that you painted the engine with Rustoluem hi heat Alpine Green, I have been to Lowes and Ace and looked on line and can't find a thing. Would you mind telling me where to get a couple of cans.
thanks,

The Rustoleum Smoke Gray was for the frame. Dupli-Color Alpine Green High Temp Spray can be found at O'Reily's, NAPA and maybe most auto parts houses.

I'm so close to putting some fire to the ole gal I can smell it!

A couple of things to do. Now that I've figured out where to mount the engine oil filter. The old drive line was not in very good shape. A few cracks on the flanges and not so round mounting holes. I've collected some parts to build a new one then I'll take it to Potter Webster to have them shorten and balance it.

I filled the system up with water to check for leaks. Will run it that way for a couple of hundred miles to make sure there are no internal problems, then I'll add antifreeze.

Hopefully I can fire it up next weekend! ;)

After I'm satisfied with the project I'll start on the power steering, then install our new to us 01 grill assembly and some new paint! Whew!
