Paul, This sure brings back alot of memories. April will be a year since I did mine. I look at those video clips I took at least once a month and still can't believe that we did it in a week!

What you're doing looks real good and you're sure gonna notice the difference with that automatic transmission. I think you will find it a more enjoyable ride. Are you planning on putting power steering in, too? Keep up the great job and keep those pics coming. Your Eagle buddies are watching and cheering for you :0)

P.S. I hear Gary wants to go help you...as long as you promise not to try and kill him like I did, LOL. :D

Power steering in on the list. I have all of the parts. I have thought of waiting until the engine/tranny swap checks out and all is good, then tackle the P/S.

That's pretty funny about Gary, but he's on the wrong coast!

A little more finished today. Flexplate is now secured to tranny, starter from old engine cleaned and attached, rear engine mounts removed cleaned and bolted to new bell housing and more fun cleaning and painting other parts. 8-) We had a little snow today, didn't bother me though! ;) Gee this is fun!

You can save this link and come back and visit it when you want.

Engine Tranny Swap

I try to take pictures every day just to remind me of what step I'm in. Otherwise I'm liable to forget!

I ordered new motor mounts today from Jefferson Bus. Hopefully will paint the tunnel Sunday. It's supposed to be a very sunny warm day! 8-)

Maybe I'll slide the new components in the hole in a week or so. Then I can start to really connect everything.

The latest.... 8-)

New motor mounts (4) ordered from Jefferson Bus, will arrive tomorrow.

Air throttle parts purchased from one of our own, Eric in SC. Will install as soon as it arrives, then slide everything in place.

New shift cable will be ordered and custom made from Speedometer Service in Portland, OR once engine and tranny are in place. The one that came with the tranny is 35', need roughly 40'. Will get measurement after it's in place.

Painted engine compartment so everything will be fresh for the install! I'm stoked!
