As of 12/1/2021, a major update of the forum software was accomplished
Update: 4/20/2024: The Eagles email account at GoDaddy no longer works. I have set up a gmail account as a workaround: eaglesinternational.email@gmail.com (This link seems to work for my outlook email, but may not work for other email platforms. If it does not load, copy and paste the link in your platform.)
Update: 4/27/2024: I am getting some SQL error pages as I click on different areas of our forum. Using the back arrow and hitting the link again usually loads the page. I will wait for a day or two before I have GoDaddy look into the problem.

Re: Eagle 01 Project
Hi John. Interesting and sad find. Another dream ending. Seems that I have seen photos of that bus before.
It will be interesting to see if we find out what the reserve is. He has a ton of work and money in the project. I suspect that he will not begin to recoup even 20% of his parts cost let alone his labor.
If anyone is interested, recall that 01 Torsilastics are not available and that their breaks are quite a bit smaller that the 10s.

Re: Eagle 01 Project
I've been emailing back and forth with the owner. Come to find out it's someone I've conversed with long ago when I bought ours.
He said if it doesn't sell he'll finish the shell then sell all the goddies for the conversion. I sure hope it finds a good home. Someone is going to get one heck of a deal with a lot of work accomplished already.

Re: Eagle 01 Project
Paul, did Vern say why he was giving up.
I know the engine and transmission is not going to work for him he was told that years ago a 8v71 is not going to handle a 45ft bus but someone told him it would with just bigger injectors.
That is a shame all the work he did to that bus to let it go but he may get lucky and somebody will give the 50g for it he wants but I doubt that will happpen in todays market
good luck
Clifford

Re: Eagle 01 Project
Clifford,
He told me he bought a 99 Prevost XL 45! I don't understand why, maybe just tired of working on it and wanted to travel now.
I agree, it will be hard to sell the way it is especially with the 8v71. Sure has lots of nice goodies that's been collected for it over the years.

Re: Eagle 01 Project
It looks like the work he did was top notch. I think I would have updated the rear end since I was doing all that work. Put something in there that I could get parts for.
