As newbie I'll say howdy first.
Secondly; I'm a bus nut without a bus My wife and I are known as Tworootless on other RV Forums, and have been full-timers for 11 years.
We've Workamped most of that time so building a bus was just a dream.
We also wanted a bit more space by purchasing a fifth wheel, which we tow with a 1998 Volvo VN610 single axle rig, registered as a motor-home.
We have arrived at a time in our lives where we want to travel more, and shorten the length of time we stay in an area.
Question; We're looking for an even trade (if wife goes along with it) on our 33' 3 slide 2000 Holiday Rambler wheel and our 1998 Volvo 400 HP Detroit tow vehicle. The fiver has been remodeled and has new tires and brakes. The Volvo has a 1200 w inverter, porta potty, small fridge, microwave, new brakes, drums, and tires all around. It's also registered as a motor home.
Trade Value would be around $54,000 for both.
We also have a deeded RV lot near Ocala, Fl. worth $39,000.
My main interest in a bus is an 8 cylinder power plant.
Please feel free to check out our web-site for photos and contact info.

Re: Has It Been Done On Here?
Hello and welcome to this board! Like you, I starting cruising the bus boards before I was actually an owner of one. It's a good place to start on your journey to find out as much as you can about buses. I owned a Class C before I got my Eagle. I didn't have the Class C for very long before I realized it wasn't made very well, and it was a "top of the line" but there was no comparison to the way a bus is made...
I would encourage you to read and find out as much as you can about buses before you purchase one. There are alot of nightmares out there, but there are also alot of gems. I thought I did my homework, but really didn't know what I was looking for when I found mine. It ended up being a gem, and I am thankful. Even so, you have to keep them maintained, and there is always some new adventure lurking around the corner.
I wish you well on your quest. I'm not sure you will find anyone on here to trade with you, but you never know. Someone out there is looking for what you have. We sold our Class C on RVTrader.com When I began my quest for a bus I found alot of encouragement on the bus boards and just like they said, now I have one of my own. I wish you well.

Thanks for that bit of encouragement. I understand what I'm trying, like many others is a shot in the dark. Time will tell I guess. . .

Much like Manny, I too scoured the RV Trader for a couple of years, before settling on my coach (which I found on the Internet by the way) it is a good source for a lot of stuff.
