Re: Lake Afton Rally
BCO, that is too bad do they give you any reason for the delay I ask because I have bought windshields from Jefferson and was always told they didn't do installs.
Fwiw there is a guy south of you Sonnie Gray knows that worked for Trailways that can align the cap and install those babies in about 1 hr he charged 50 bucks each for mine including the cap alignment good luck and hope you make it to the rally

BCO,
Make sure that they are installing the windshields properly. In my experience, you must install the windhield rubber on the windshield first and then install on the bus. Your windshields are not the original size and maybe that is the problem. Someone modified them.

Why not to ask the PO who did the conversion?SmoothJazz wrote:BCO,

Hope fully the second one will go in 5 times as fast as the first one,and all works out so the Tahoe stays home .I equate this to going to the eye Dr,first they poke you in the eye to make sure your eye lids work, then once you find a pair of specs that look great but don't fit your face quite right sound familiar?Hang in there kid there is light at the end of the tunnel,If you like I'll trade ya mine lol

Re: Lake Afton Rally
I know when I removed my windshields to replace the breastplate and do other work, I was talking with Norris about the re-installation of them. He said that with new windshields, may not be shaped at the corners properly. Many times they had to make them fit the hole or make the hole fit the glass. This was on new coaches at the factory too. As I wasn't replacing our glass, just the gasket, it went back in just as smooth as when they came out.
I know this doesn't make you feel better, because it sure seems to take a long time to complete your job. Maybe they don't have the experience, but they should be able to figure it out or ask questions.
So Sorry to hear of your problems Don!

Re: Lake Afton Rally
Don, Was the work sub contracted to another contractor through Jefferson, or did they just recommend them? Who did you pay the final bill too? I'm just curious.
Do you have pictures of the damaged cap?
