Re: ED's 77 Model 05
Manny, you can travel light don't need to bring tools, I got enough for everyone.
Eric, have you learned how to crawl under a bus yet !!
Here's a few before pictures , just in case I forget what it did look like.
It's nesting place for a while.
Typical 8v71 setup
Rear bedroom which has to be re-done and floor raised and bed turned means complete destruction !!!
Oh added another item to list, remove air assist steering and add power steering.
anyone care to add to list ?
Thanks ED

Re: ED's 77 Model 05
Not to steal this thread but I HATE I-17 from Flagstaff down to PHX. Not one but two long down hill runs and a big climb out.
Now back to the regularly scheduled demolition and constuction.

Re: ED's 77 Model 05
Clifford, I look forward to the days when I can be like you, Jefferson, and Byron. I tell Jefferson that he goes by the shop, grabs a biscuit, hand full of cash, and rides off for a few months!!LOL The only big hill I have tackeled is a 5 mile 7% grade. I was a good workout, but compared to the 13 mph I had with the 8V-71 I was pleased!!

Re: ED's 77 Model 05
I 17 from Phoenix is a good climb Leroy you don't see the buses flying up that one either.
I 40 from Kingman to Flagstaff has some good grades also and we are not that far west it gets better lol
I see more blown engines in buses on the climb out of Laughlin Nv to Kingman Az
Last time I went to the Valley there was 2 one a late model MCI probably a 60 series and 1 Vanhool it was probably a Cummins
Oil every where they blow big time on that climb
115 dergees and 8% for 8 or 10 miles will tell on you if not very careful.
You can tell the old pros on that stretch of hiway they pull over and stop 2 or 3 times

Re: ED's 77 Model 05
Well Eric you beat me to it, Those four words " While were at it ", will probably be the death of me !
Didn't know them until you said them so it's your fault. Got most all the accessory junk out of the way, miter box setting there , darn thing is heavy. Rear engine hatch off, couple days at my pace be ready to pull. Trying to get hold of a forklift, that just sits unused. Put the brake controller on the jeep today so I am ready to get the trailer and 60 series/ trans whenever you shout.
I will tell you guys, I got a lot of info out of Eric Saturday, but be careful,
he likes to spend money, NOT HIS !!!!!
Thanks ED
