This will be my last post on John, and Tara's bus. John brought the bus to me in January of 2013. I was to raise the drivers area, change the step configuration, add dash air, redo door, add an awning and a few other things. At the time my primary business was very slow, and I got a good start. The business then picked up and bus work became a spare time thing. John has been very patient as have the Watkins. During this time my number of employees available, as well as a few health issues have made me realize that I am not able to work 24-7 like I used to!!LOL I should finish John up next week and then onto Bills bus. When it is complete I will not take on anymore major projects other than the model 15 I have for myself. That to can be purchased with the correct number of Ben Franklins!!! John decided not to do anything with the steps. As a gesture of my appreciation, I finished out the step area with solid surface and the area around with matching material, and capped the edge. I hope it is acceptable. Again. thank you John, and Tara for the opportunity.

We're hopeful that Eric will be able to finish up here prior to Thanksgiving. That will allow us to continue interior work during Dec, Jan, & Feb. All in hopes of using the bus in 2016. Still have a lot to do inside but I'm looking forward to enjoying the changes Eric made to the front interior. Will need to insulate engine compartment prior to installation of bed platform. Then I'll start in the sleeping quarters & work my way forward. Haven't given up on the old gal yet...

John, a friend of mine got some of your meatloaf from a friend of his and we cooked burgers out of it last night and I have to say it was the best I ever tasted!
Glad to hear you are starting back on your bus, looking forward to meeting you someday.

Hey Wes, If you find yourself near the crossroads of I26 & I95 we are just a few minutes from there. 2 miles off I26 at exit 165. Since it's deer season
the Fall is a good time to stop in. There's always some goodies available like pickled snack sticks, jerky, summer sausage, & on & on & on. Heck Eric's employees
won't even let him have any pickled snack sticks. He put some jars in the shop refrigerator & you know the rest...

Thanks for the compliment on the meatloaf. Wait till you get a hold of the Salisbury steak.

Time for a little update. I've been on a pretty good pace in the evenings & Saturdays since getting the bus back 1st week of Feb.
Removed some water damaged floors & bottoms of walls.

Started building out cabinets in bedroom. Removed engine air scoop & replaced square box filter with round.
You might notice I'm using box cabinets that I put together then cut to fit. Works for me.

For the bed pedestal I made it like a waterbed pedestal. I can lift the bed platform & mattress & hook off from above.
Then the uprights in the pedestal are removable & the outside boards will unhook at the corners. A few screws & in less than
10 minutes I can access the engine. Left a good size access door too. Notice too that the bed platform has cross pieces to lock into
place on pedestal. Sure wish I knew how to rotate the pictures once uploaded...
