Congratulations Eric! I'm sure you are glad after this long journey. Bet if I had to keep up w/you now, I'd wouldn't be able to, even though my Eagle has learned to fly...

Look at all that has taken place since you and I talked in Arcadia this past December! Both our Eagles have new life now. Now if we could just hit the open road as much as we'd like. Sure hope you can make it to Arcadia this year.

Can't wait to see her in Chattanooga, Eric... And you too, of course! ;)

Manny, you should be making your way up for the rally!

Songman, I can't even begin to tell you how badly my wife and I wanted to go, but there have been so many obstacles this past month. My work van has been requiring some much needed maintenance such as: new turbo, new hoses, new serpentine belt, new resonator, new radiator, new tension pulley, and it still needs new tires, but our other van got jealous and decided to first blow the a/c (just put $500 in that a week ago) and yesterday, my wife calls me from up the road...it seems the van finally died. I had to push it home. I am waiting for the stimulus check to come that Oblabla promised, but it seems Solyndra has been receiving them instead :o Maybe we should try some of the solar panels for our Eagles to make them run...what do you think?

Seriously, my wife & I try to keep smiling because we know God has a plan, just can't believe all these things have happened at the same time. I have done all the work on my van myself which saved us a lot of $$$ especially since it's a Mercedes Benz. That Sprinter van has been great, it's just on the road all the time.

We sure do hate missing that rally and maybe, just maybe we'll be able to make some next year. In the meantime, we'd sure love to see you, Eric, and some others in Arcadia later this year.

Thanks to all for the good words of engouragement!!!! It always helps when you are working on something like this!!! Today we went for a long run. App. 50-60 miles. We would have gone further but I ended up in the er on the last bolt!!LOL In the last 30 days I have had a board fly out of a machine (DONT ASK WHERE IT HIT ME!!), had my back give me a fit because of the above, ripped the end of my finger off, tripped over a board and twisted my knee, burned my leg on the motorcycle, due to the knee!!!!LOL. I have been able to tissue and duct tape all until today. Had one last bolt to cut off for the accelarator pedal. Since it was SOOOOO far to the cut off saw I used the portaband. It jumped off the bolt and onto my hand on the table. After careful exam, I decided that duct tape wouldn't hold this one!!! Three hours and stictches later we made a run. Temp steady, good oil, and boost. No leaks that I can see. Hit a few good hills. AMAZING!!! I also had a realy big first! PASSED TWO TRACTOR TRAILERS GOING UPHILL!!! We are leaving for the rally Wed. afternoon. VERY EXCITED!!!

You need to run Mt. Eagle before you go back home. Just a short run up 24, it will make you fell good.

Eric, The ultimate TEST what did the Wife think ?

Remember she is the one who got you into that mess.

I assume the spring brakes worked out okay, didn't hear from you or smell smoke!!

Enjoy the trip. Thought I might bring mine up there and leave it with you for a winter

Project, heck the engine is already there!! You will need another project!

Take care ED
