Paul, the progress on your bus is absolutely marvelous ,for a fella that claims to be a novice cabinet builder you seem to be in the groove(and that is Groovy) and shakin out some really nice stuff in your open air garage LOL.I am gonna have to come visit and take in some of your expertise in making saw dust piles, besides you are alot closer than Cody Hee Hee. I;d have to say in closing that you have this wood whittling thing nailed down tight .Good work there Paul :D
ps. let me know when the space next to yours opens up so we can move down, and get started on ours.
Your bestest friend :D

Paul,
Sorry about the typo. It should have read "NOW", that is clever! Bent the other stick today. Should be finishing the trim on Monday. Looks like it's going to work. Any thoughts on installing a sun visor?

Van and Julio, The RV Park is Full!

There will be plenty of room in a couple of months when the vacation season closes. So come on down! ;)

This has really been a learning curve for me. I do have a little background in the retail lumber business and know that part, it's the manufacture of cabinets that had me stumped. I had Galey's cabinet CD and did some research on the net, but I really had to stretch it a bit as my tools are in short supply that require all the fancy dove tails and neat stuff. I could have done it with a router, just didn't trust myself as that thing will seriously destroy some meat!. I still have all ten digits so that's not too bad for a beginner! Now I want to tear into the bedroom that I made 4 years ago, it's just not what we want it to look like. I think I'll wait until I get the exterior re-done before I tackle that one!

Ken, Do you mean interior sun visor? I have not thought about that one yet. We have a visor over the front windshield and it works pretty good. Glad to hear your wood bending is working out for you. I'm going to give it a go on some special areas myself and see what I can do. I knew what you meant on your last post, sometimes my fat fingers punch the wrong keys and I get in a hurry and dont' do SPELL CHECK!

Thanks for the compliments guys,

Paul

I kind of took a self induced vacation this past week and this is the only thing I got accomplished. Then our old Canon Camera quit working, so I just had to go buy another one. ;) I was having withdrawals not being able to take pictures to file in our blog/website! That way I can go back and bring back memories of what we have done.

We have wanted to cover up the front under-dash heater for quite a while, and this is what we came up with.

Not the best angle, but if I had taken it from the entrance door it might have shown how bad the cockpit area is, that's next for a face-lift.

It came out pretty good, the punched panel you see came from Lowes. It really matched the look we wanted quite well. Now we have a hidden space to put dog leashes and stuff.

Paul, I sure like the wood work you've done...it looks sharp! If you lived closer I'd hire you to do mine.
