Julio-

Resistance--I'm not sure if you're talking weather (as in wetness) or friction (as in slipping on your butt). Cindy made a sample mat for our front porch about 3-4 years ago, and so far no problems (that was the ultimate test with 5 kids and all their friends). As far as the slip & fall, it's not really very slippery. . .and, Cindy made some rubber mats as step areas just in case.

I gotta tell you, I don't know where she comes up with these whack ideas, but they always seem to work. . .I'm gonna keep her around for another few years I guess.

Thanks everybody! You know, the only test our 3 year old "door mat" has not endured is the "continuous rolling earthquake" test. Next weekend, when we go to a campground an hour down the road, will be it's first rolling earthquake test. We'll let you know how it fares! lol

At some point in this whole bus thing, I realized... anything we do, we can undo if we have to, and then do again! ... I am not afraid!! LOL

I just wanted to let you guys know that I finally made it through all of your pictures. AMAZING! I learned so much about my bus just seeing what all you did with yours. You've done a ton of work and it looks awesome. Congrats on an amazing rig! Thanks for posting so many detailed photos of the project.

Thanks David-

I tell everyone we would have been done with the project in about half the time if we didn't have to stop so she could take pictures!! But, I'm glad she did--it's already too hard to remember what the heck we did to it!

Okay Mark--you're rubbing it in now! I got the bus back and I was mildly impressed. . .the engine compartment was steamed and spray painted, but not anything of great quality. . .I don't plan on cracking the hood to show-off anything, but I might get Cindy to take a picture and post it.

Once I got it home, I had a pretty good water leak from a gate valve (going to the front heater core), an oil leak at the gear drive alternator, and another drip at the oil cooler.

Aside from that, it runs very well and the jakes are functioning well. It seems to have good pull, but the opportunities to give it a good run are limited on these LA freeways!

I fixed the gate valve, and just took it back to them today to fix the oil cooler & alternator. I'm expecting to pick it up on Tuesday, then we'll leave the following Saturday for Yuma/Quartzsite.

That will be the first significant pull for it and we'll see how it does.
