I'm trying to identify these two busses in the attached photo files and determine if they have more than scrap value.
I'd be much obliged for anyone's input.

Re: Help me identify
2 model 05 from the 70's , the dual exhaust says 8v71 N/A engines probably 4 speed manual transmissions and no power steering, both look in rough shape maybe good for parts it's hard to tell from photos. It is a lot of work to part one out too for the few bucks but the drop boxes will bring you $2500+ if in good shape.
If you have space and time to part those out depending how long you can set on the parts for the right price you may make a few bucks, making those drive able would be a huge under taking and very expensive IMO .
What you pay for old Eagles depends on you I bought a 01 for $500.00 and drove it away just to keep it from being scrapped a couple of weeks ago,and it will more than likely end up scrapped anyways

Re: Help me identify
It is a transfer the differential faces forward so the drop box is between the transmission and differential to provide power to the differential, maybe Jim can describe it better but they are in short supply now days

Re: Help me identify
You can identify the buses easily as follows.
First, if there are any registration papers or titles, look for where is says VIN Number.
If not, open the main engine compartment (tailgate) door.
Now look in the lower right corner of the opening. You'll see a chassis member running crosswise across the back of the coach right behind the top of the bumper.
On this member is a small metal plate that was welded on at the factory. It will be very close to the lower right corner of the opening caused by opening the door.
It will have a four digit number starting with a 7, 8, or 9 for a coach made in Belgium. Coaches made in the USA will have a five digit number starting with 19XXX and continuing to the 20XXX series.
Then please return here and tell us what you found. We can give you the year built and in most cases the original owner and perhaps even the fleet number.
