New owner of a 91' Eagle - Introduction/Questions

Post by Caveman »

Hello to all,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is James and I'm the proud new owner of a 91' Silver Eagle Entertainer. I bought it with the intention of living in it.

I have a few questions:
How do I identify what model of Eagle it is?
On the state registration it says "1991 Herc HC." Which leads me to believe it was converted by Hercules?
How do I know if the Eagle was actually built in 91' or just converted in 91'?
I found the VIN on the plate on the rear bumper and it matches on the registration.
VIN: 1HEMC45D8MK620191

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi James. Welcome to our forum. Great looking Eagle

First of all, the VIN number you list is not an Eagle VIN. I just posted what I believe to be the decoding of an Eagle VIN number:
http://eagles-international.net/forums/ ... d26f77471e

Based on this thread, your listed VIN was generated by Hercules: http://eagles-international.net/forums/ ... d26f77471e

I suspect if you do a bit of searching you might find the original Eagle VIN number on the frame. This thread: http://eagles-international.net/forums/ ... f=8&t=1447 lists the various locations that Eagle used to document the serial number. I have looked on my bus and have not found anything, but you may luck out. If you find a number, let us know and we can probably tell you who the bus was built for.

More pictures please :D

You can tell by the wheels inset that was a re manufactured Eagle 05 or 10 ,some states will let you change the year model if the bus has been tore down to 80% and rebuilt all of Hercules buses were rebuild with new titles fwiw
