Watching Manny and Darlene go through trying to ID their bus got us thinking... So we went over to the Model 10 today and got the numbers to identify it. Luckily the data plate was still on it so that was easy enough. It is number 20250 and was one of 5 that went to American Buslines in L.A. originally. Of course, I can find no mention of them online so I assume they are gone. The good news is that this matches up with the low-rust Southern CA Eagle that we have.
The question comes from the number that I found stamped into a plate at the right rear of the bus. The number on it is 110309 20250. Obviously the 20250 is the ID number. What are the first numbers?

Re: ID Numbers
Dale,
Bus number 20250 was manufactured 11/16/81. Interesting enough, the manufacturing number was 81-309, so I suspect that the number 110309 somehow corresponded to the manufacturing number. Anyway it was the 309th bus built in 1981. American Bus Lines Fleet number on this bus was 25122 and when it joined the Greyhound Fleet, the number was changed to 7183.
