MACC bluegrass festival

Post by cody »

I just wanted to get you guys thinking about an event that we have enjoyed each year for a long time, it a bluegrass festival in Columbus Ohio called the MACC (Musicians Against Childhood Cancer). It's put on by Darrel Atkins, a good guy and great friend, some of you in the music industry will certainly recognize the name, the fest is a benefit for St Judes Hospital and brings in a wide range of the top performers in the bluegrass field, most of the best gather there and enjoy a week of playing, picking and just foolishness and fun. It's held at a park called the Hoover Y park, a big rambling park with an abundance of sites, darrel generally puts us on music row and the jamming goes far into the night lol, it's held the last week in july and is well worth the ride. They have a website you can google under musicians against childhood cancer and see what all is going on, I don't like posting links cause I sometimes don't trust links others post but it's easy to google.

Cody, Thank You for the infomation. Sounds like a lot of fun. I am not into that kind of music but I think that it is very neat that musicians give of there time to help fight a horrible disease like cancer.
