New Engine For Sale-Free Bus attached!

Post by gsriley1 »

As I have just purchased a Model 10, I'm offering my Model 01 For Sale either as a complete bus or as parts. I believe the bus is much to good to part out, but I can't bring my new bus home until she goes. I do have a way to dispose of the chassis, but will make a better deal to anyone who buys the complete bus.

Clear Texas Title in hand (titled as an RV)
Call me @936-524-7346 or e-mail @ gsriley1@sbcglobal.net for a great price.
This Eagle has less rust than any other Eagle I've looked at (including the one I just bought.)
Tons of detailed photos available.

1966 Eagle Model 01 #6632
8V71 N
Jake Brakes
8 (or possibly ten-speed) Eaton
Lima Mac 280 Brushless Generator powered by 4.108 Perkins 4cy Diesel
Fully converted coach with mostly 12v electrics (all seem to work)
3 Way Dometic Refrigerator
Propane Stove
Walk In Shower
Cedar Lined Closet
Queen Bed in Rear
Stereo's in front lounge, and rear stateroom
Bay Air Conditioning (don't know if it works)
Drivers Air Conditioning
100 Gal Fresh Water
50 gal?? Black Water
Lots of other features I will discuss with interested parties

There is an air leak preventing the brakes from being functional. I believe if this was repaired and some other minor items attended to the coach would be drivable. Compressor makes lots of air very quickly.

The engine is an 8V71N that was represented by the former owner as being "new" with 2,200 miles running time, and then parked for over ten years. There is no evidence of any leaks, and the way it runs seems to support that representation. However, it is being sold "As-Is," and you make up your own mind as I have.

Also comes with Factory service manual/parts book (on CD,) Detroit Diesel service manual, an extra mitre box, starter, and misc. parts.

Here is a short video of my first start of the engine.

If you want the other bus I have in Corpus Christi it is yours, I really don't know the real conditions but maybe and I only know that has no engine or tranny. Maybe Daniel could help check it, he told a few days ago in the chat that he can help to check it.

If you are serious about the engine give me a call and I'll make you a great deal. I'm probably going to swap the bumpers for the ones on my Model 10 as these are a little better. Depending on who in interested and the circumstances I may or may not keep the Gen set too.

I do have several interested parties, but no one has committed yet. The money is really secondary to being able to bring my new bus home. However, I would like to recover at least part of what I invested.
