Looking for NJT 20 rear cap

The New Jersey Transit Model 20s has a very cool rear cap. The previous owner of my Model 20 took the rear cap off and opted for the R&M cap. I haven't decided for sure yet but I think I might like to go back to the NJT-20 style cap. I know there are a few NJT owners here. Anyone pull the rear cap off and still have it laying around? I am just talking about the 3 piece top section.

I know Greg Roberts kept that rear cap on his bus. Maybe he has a picture he can post to show how cool it looks.

With your roof raise, you will have to do something to fill in the "gap". Not a big deal, but still work. I would guess you can cut some off the RM and use it if you want to.

Jim, that's why I was hoping Greg might have a picture. Actually the NJT 20 rear cap is a 3 piece cap that is just the top corner. The rear and sides of what is normally the cap area was actually big vents for the A/C system. On an NJT-20, it would actually be much easier just to close that in and leave the top trailing edge cap like Greg did. Of course, for me at this point it would be a little more difficult because the previous owner already cut all that framing out. I looked for the rear pieces before I left his place with the bus. I do have the big vent sections but couldn't find the cap pieces. I'll see if I can find a picture to show what I mean.

Here is a picture from Duane's project thread that shows the part of the NJT 20 cap that I am talking about. In this picture the big vents on the back and sides have been removed. The two end pieces of the cap are in place and the center section has been removed for removal of the big A/C unit.

So in the case of a roof raise, you leave the three piece cap at the top and you just make your steel insert taller. The cap has a cool point at the back that almost looks like it has a little spoiler on it. Once you get it all put together the effect is very similar to the straight up R&M cap except for the 'spoiler'.

Here's another picture I found of a converted NJT20. You can see the three pieces at the top that are the original cap. The owner just added the flat steel on the back and the curves on the corners, based on his roof raise.
