Ray emailed me today and said the windshields are 36" tall, for an 01.
I don't know how tall the ones are for a 10, so not sure if they will work or not. He will get back to me with a price if interested.

Paul, is that 36" how tall the exposed glass is when the windshield is installed? I ask because I just went out and measured this brand new Model 10 windshield we have that is still in the crate and the glass is 36.5" from top to bottom. It would be odd if they had to retool everything for just a half inch from an 01 to the 05/10.

This is strange. I just went and measured mine installed. 36" would be too short I think, 36 1/2" looks like it would be the correct size.

I didn't measure mine when I had them out so I'm guessing on this. What you said makes sense to me.

Maybe he just measured wrong, I'll ask him.

I still don't understand the measurement he sent me. I'm going to visit with him on Saturday, I'll double check.

He said he'll take $100 ea. plus shipping. If interested let me know and I will force him to sign up! Hee Hee

He just installed a power steering system in his Eagle 01, so I need to see how he did it.

The last time I bought windshields for my 05/10 I bought them for $130 each from Derby glass. I bought a dozen and they shipped them free.

I won't be home until the 15th of feb but if anyone is interested I will post their contact information when I get there.

I went to visit Ray on Saturday and did measure his windshields, they are 36 1/2" not the 36" he previously said they were. He does have four of them, one is cracked though.

I think I talked him into to joining the board, he has a very nice 01 and the 15 he will convert with slides.

Here's a couple of places:

I bought a dozen from Curved Glass in Derby CT. (800) 934-3450 (Evelyn) a few years ago. They were $130 each and they paid the freight to Phoenix.

I was also quoted $102.95 for the 05 Windshields and $149 for the 01 from Translite in NY (800) 934-3450 (Michael Turner)

Worth the calls.

If you're going to install the 05/10 windshields in an 01 make sure to fit them properly. Sometimes they need a quarter inch or so cut off the lower corners if I remember correctly.

Installing windshields is not very difficult if you have two workers. Just remember if they are real tight going in the first time you get in a little bind they will break.

In rereading the thread I notice someone inquired about 15 windshields. I believe Derby stocks most bus windshields, not sure what all Translite stocks
