This was Dale's (Songman's) Model 20 which I drove from Bakersfield, Ca. to Central Texas. I thought I could help my cousin complete the conversion, but alas don't see it happening.
Here are the basics:
1989 New Jersey Transit Eagle
6V92TA DDECII with Allison 748 with retarder
Constructed from Corten steel
Aluminum wheels
8" roof raise
R&M front cap ($550 new)
R&M rear cap ($575 new)
R&M fiberglass siding 35'x42" (4 sheets @ $500 each)
Air wipers installed but not hooked up
Peninsula dual pane sliding windows (7 large and 2 small)

Re: It's Baaaaaack!
It's a great bus! I hated to let it go and if I had any money I'd love to have it back. But no such luck.
Somebody buy this thing and build her like she deserves...
Doyle, I thought I heard you hung the sides and put the caps on. Is that right or wrong?

Dale:
I "temporarily" hung the sides, just to keep the weather out. More like a "lynching" than "hanging". Will definitely have to be re-done.

dg

Re: It's Baaaaaack!
I was just reading over the ad that Doyle copied and pasted from when I had the bus for sale and found a mistake in it. It should read ELECTRIC wipers installed but not hooked up. The air wipers were replaced.
