I sure wish this was a lot closer! He said the turbo is tight, no play up/down, in/out. Dang it!

Could be a good deal. But you ccould also end up spending that much more to try to get the plumbing to make it fit an Eagle.

Nothing that a welder, cut-off saw and a tube bender couldn't fix! That I can do. 8-)

Clifford, How is Jim's done? Do they call his a front mount? I don't know anything about these, especially when it comes to an 01. That's why I'm following his thread on the air cleaner. I can't even find anything on the internet with drawings and information, it's all about parts.

Paul, see how the turbo on my 20 was mounted on top of the engine?

The 15s and 20s has room above the engine for them. Earlier Eagles did not so they had to be mounted in front of the engine (toward the rear of the bus). There are different parts involved, not just piping.

Here is a good picture of how to top mount turbo mounts. See the bolts where it bolts to that special top mount manifold piece? This is the kind of turbo that is in the auction. I don't think 01s, 05s, or 10s have room without modifying the engine compartment roof.

Now I see! Thanks Dale!

It's hard to admit ignorance sometimes, but this is one area I have no knowledge in.

Lack of experience doesn't mean ignorance. It just means you've never had a reason to know the details. I never did either until the last couple of years. But just because I know how they are put together don't mean I think I could work on them! haha

I coulda said "I'm stupid".

I've kicked this idea around and never took the steps to figure it all out. I do know I can't afford a re-power to another type of power plant. So this is my way of adding some ponies into the mix of what we have.
