Looking for Model 10/15 or MCI 96A for conversion

Post by busnutwc »

Hey, former Tim McGraw/Alan Jackson band member WC Edgar here. Now on my own as a new artist and I'm looking for a model 10 or 15 Eagle that is good mechanically but may need cosmetic work. If I can't find an Eagle I'd settle for an MCI 96 with the 6V92. Looking for a seated coach or stripped shell I can skin and put a conversion in to fit my needs. Need something mechanically good with not a ton of rust, room left to adjust torsion bars, power steering and I can drive home at not a ton of money. I had an old Model 05 as well as a MCI MC-9

Welcome W.C. There is a beautiful 1990 Eagle 15 on Ebay right now in Texas. Looks real good, still a seated coach. Looks like they are looking for 50k or best offer. You also might try http://www.goodsonbussales.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, they have a lot of good looking entertainers. Good luck. A good time to buy a coach.

Thanks much! Looking for something more on the lower end of the scale. I'm seeing some possibilities at Goodson's and from the Busman in NC. I'd like to maybe find something a church had that has some maintaince records with it. Thanks! WC

WC,
Here's a few leads for you. Ray Cox out of Gay, Ga south of Atlanta has a virtually rust free Eagle shell ready for you to convert. Ray has done a lot of work over the years on entertainer coaches as well as others. His numbers are: 770-927-9894 H 404-392-7059 C. Ray has some other units as well. Here's a 72 05 Eagle on Ebay. Bids off today though:

WC, I talked to Sonnie Gray today and he has a couple of Eagles that sound like they might be good candidates. One has some bunks and might give you a good start.

He would like to move them down the road.

He said to give him a call: nine zero three 815-2141

WC,
If yer still in the hunt we have a beautiful 96A3 that we would sell.
The problem is that right now it has engine problems. Nothing that can't be fixed, but it is on the back burner here right now at our place!
It can be seen on our website. http://www.kylakesidetravel.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It is the '85 MCI with the chrome lettering and reflective sun over a lake on it.

I'd have to ask dad what we would take for it. (last time I priced a bus without consulting him it sold and he was slightly upset that he didn't even know it was for sale. Especially for what it sold for!)

I am waiting for a return call or email from Sonnie. I think he was going to AZ for a rally. He has a model 10 I am interested in if he also can get a one piece door for it.
Thanks, WC Edgar

I am going to look at one of Sonnie's Coaches soon as he checks it out. Also have a line on one other one and will keep searching till I find the right one for me. I'd really like power steering as my last 05 about tore my arms off without it. If I can't find a Model 10 I may have to just pick up an 05 and have it added.
Thanks, WC
