WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR OLD RADIATOR ?

Post by van »

The very first item I replaced on our 15 was the Radiator, old one is unserviceable and is wrapped up in the shop taking up room. Question is should I keep the tanks for possible re core at a later date? And if so ,do I cut the entire tank (top & bottom)off of the core,or just unbolt the caps? I would like to hear some ideas from you guy's that have been down this road already so fire away ,and as always ,you guys are the best! :D

Van,

The tanks are of value, so keep them. I don't know of anybody who sells the tanks separately new. Just unbolt it and sell the core for scrap. You can buy new cores which come with the header plate and gasket.
