Struts for bay doors

Post by DeBar »

Does anyone know what the weight rating is on the struts for the bay doors? I measured length on mine about 21.5" but don't know about weight rating. I think that I can go a little longer on them if I need to, and found some 23" 50lb struts for $10 at:
http://www.rvsurplus.net/catalog/displa ... ct_id=4288" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Does anyone know if these would work. I got lucky today, I have 2 bay doors that rub together when they are all of the way up. When I opened the middle bay, the rear bay door popped unlatched and slammed shut. I was just in and out of that bay 30 seconds before.
I have someone picking up my tanks and some other things tomorrow and would like to have them pick these up for me if they will work.

Thank you for the link. Normally I would have searched, but it's been a long day and I wanted to ask while someone was still up who might have an answer before morning.
