In speaking with Buddy Tennison the past few days I wanted to relay some information to the group.
His serial number is 30170, which makes it an early Model 10 with some lagging parts and stuff from the Model 05, this has been confirmed by Dan Lenz.
Buddy had a severe air leak on the rear axle DD-3 brake chamber. He was wanting to switch to 30/30 Spring Brake chambers. he purchased a couple of cans and found out that the can hits the suspension and would have to move them to the other side of the axle along with re-locating the spiders. Because of the extensive work involved they decided to find some rebuilt DD-3's locally from a bus charter company 60 miles from where he lives in Mississippi.
It is not clear where on the suspension they hit, I have sent him an email to find out. I also have asked him to join the group. They are Gospel Singers and travel extensively.
If anyone has any information that would be helpful to the group as a whole, please reply to the post.
Thanks!

Paul, his brackets face the front of the bus and if you don't use the short cans made by M&M ( I think thats the name) but will look it up for you guys it will hit the torque tube on the copilots side.

Re: DD-3 to Spring Brake on a early Model 10
Wow, didn't see that coming! Thanks for letting me know! Now I won't have to ask him again to join the fun.
I kind of thought that it would be the arm or something, but not having seen one wasn't sure. The shorter cans would be the ticket, didn't know that either. I'm trying to catch up but you are so far ahead I'll continue to lag behind!
I guess where I still don't get, if the DD-3 can is about the same size as a spring brake, what part is too big? Is the spring brake fatter? I still have my old DD-3's, guess I could crawl under and measure, NOT!
