changing rear end gears
I have an 01 Eagle and want to go to 336 gears. Does anyone have a set of for sale or know where I might be able to pick up the ring and pinion for the 01?
Thanks,
Bill

Re: changing rear end gears
Ahoy, Bill,
My Eagle -01 rear axle is (I believe) a Rockwell SSHD unit.
Here are some records which I have:
*Eagle rear axle Rockwell Model 143 s/n 0479489 3rd mem casting A312 Ratio 4.11:1 . Pinion shows 9-37, and numbers 35319. Inst of new 3.333:1 R/P and new brgs complete 9/99.
I don't recall my source of the R/P, but check with Rockwell and they may be able to suggest a supplier.
Good luck /s/ Bob

Re: changing rear end gears
Clifford, I didn't actually post that on the forum. It was something I found here locally and asked you about.
I don't remember if these were for an 01 or not but the guy has the rear end and also a steering box.
He was asking $950 for the rear differential. I was in contact with him back in March. Don't know if he ever sold it or not. His e-mail is MUSLTANGER@aol.com if anyone wants to contact him. If someone wants to get this and needs my help, just let me know.
There are more pictures at http://s374.photobucket.com/albums/oo18 ... ar%20diff/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: changing rear end gears
These guys may know what will work and where to get it.
I think the 01 accepts rearends that just are not available for the later models. No drop box.
