Belt Diagram

Post by RJ600RR »

I'm looking for a belt diagram for a 1990 silver eagle 32/34' w/ a Ford 7.5L(460). The seller had lost all manuals and from what I understand, the Oshkosh RV chassis division sold out. Can anyone help?

I am not aware that Silver Eagle Bus ever made a coach with a gas motor, at least that year and model. Are you sure you are not talking about a stick and staple manufactured motor home? Similar to this one?

I was contacted through the Eagle website email system by a lady trying to find out if our Eagles were related to a Silver Eagle coach made by Tidwell Manufacturing.

I did some searching, thinking it might have be a bus conversion company. I did find at least one for sale that confirmed that it was a manufactured RV.

I am quite surprised that Eagle Manufacturing did not make an issue of trademark infringement.

Silver Eagle was actually just a trim package similar to the old Silverados back in the day ....so it really would not be a copyright issue as Eagle was just that ..Eagle ...Eagle Bus ...Eagle Coach ...Eagle Coach Corp ...etc ....not until Craig took over did it become Silver Eagle Bus Mfg Inc ...taking stock in the lore of old with the future ....and I remember people confusing our Eagles with the American Eagles stick and staple Class As ....the old school Silver Eagle the original post is refering to was a class C behemoth
I do the difficult everyday ...the impossible just takes a little longer.

I've learned some more info. The motor is a 460 out of a F53 frame. Unfortunately Ford has no clue where to get the diagram or any other infor for that matter. I'm still lost. Am I supposed to contact Freightliner now?

I can't tell if you have a serpentine drive (1 belt) or several belts. Either way, we can proably help you.

I worked for Gates Rubber Co. and they have a great site for looking things up.

So first question is one or multiple belts?

If there is any way to get a number off of the belt(s), post it and it might give me a lead to finding out more about your drive.

When you say that you need a diagram, I am guessing that you simply need part numbers. If it is a serpentine belt that snakes around several pulleys, there is almost alway a diagram somewhere in the engine compartment - generally where the emission data is.
