gas shocks

Post by BoxcarOkie »

Has anyone had the problem of a "free swinging front door" on a coach? Mine, when open, kind of blows in the wind, to and fro, and I would like to stabilize it. I was thinking of applying a gas shock on the bottom, which would make it more rigid and stationary.

Any thoughts on this?

I have one on my Eagle and it presented a minor problem closing the door and it would open very fast. I still have it there but I drilled a very small hole in the air cylinder and now it acts more like a door stop but does not swing in the wind.
