Dan, What's the reasoning for the lower pressure on the bogies/tags?

I believe that it caused less drag and wear on the bogie/tag tires and still gave you enough traction for braking.

I profess to be no expert but the reason I run 105 psig cold inflation on the steering position and 95 psig on the drives and bogies is what I suspect is the difference between cold and hot inflation pressure. The power is being transmitted to the pavement through the drive tires and they run hotter than the steering position. I check things out after I run awhile and I shoot the tire temperature with an infrared thermometer. The drive tires will be warmer than the others as much as 40 degrees F.
I really am looking to make sure that all of the tires are about the same temperature, that is to say that the steering position are within a degree or two of each other, the bogies are with in a degree or two of each other and the same with the drive tires.
I had a front axle alignment problem and the right front tire was 15 to 20 degrees warmer than the left front until the alignment problem got corrected.
A under/over inflation problem can be identified this way real fast also.
I'll have to pay more attention to the exact delta T between all positions now that you've got me thinking about it.

I have Kuhmo's all around. I run 100 on the front and 95 on rear. My techinical reason is that we have a screw compressor and the pressure is set at 120psi at the tank. The lines are set at 100psi, and I'm tooo lazy to change it!! It rides fine and I don't see any funny wear after 3ok miles.

I have 24.5s.

I run 100 in the steer and 90 in the bogies and drive.

Tire charts give the inflation ranges according to weight. Mine say I can run 85 in the bogies and drives. I just believe 85 might get too hot in the summer.

The more air - the stiffer the ride.
