simple questions#2 - emptying air tanks

I remember this advice from Paul but I didn't, how can I do this? where are located? do I need a special tool? the "parking brake" still working once I drained the tanks?

The parking brake uses air to release so it should be engaged when the tanks are empty. I can't tell you exactly how to empty them but there are tanks between the front wheels and also the rear.

For what it is worth. My brake will not release until I make a 100 lb. reduction on the brake pedal, regardless.

Julio, Are you trying to move the coach and it won't move? What kind of rear brakes do you have, DD-3's or Spring Brakes? The way to tell is if there are three air lines going to the brake can you have DD-3's, only two if you have spring brakes. That will help to determine which method works for you.

The bus can be moved without any problem, I just remember this when I asked for advice when I picked up the bus from the PO.

How can I identify the brakes and which one is better? (I remember that you changed the brakes)

I had the older style, DD-3's, changed them to Spring Brakes. A much better up to date brake chamber. Which ones do you have?

Check the air lines like I suggested earlier, three for DD-3, two for Spring Brake. This is on the rear axle.
